Freddie Klein is an emerging classical tenor and recent graduate from the Queensland Conservatorium Griffith University. As a student of Associate Professor Margaret Schindler, Freddie completed a Bachelor of Music with Honours (1st Class) in 2023.
At the conservatorium, Freddie was honoured to play a variety of roles in staged productions. These included Mercury/ Cegeste (Underworld), scenes as Snout the Tinker (Britten’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream) and Gherardo (Puccini’s Gianni Schicchi).
Beyond the Conservatorium, Freddie has been engaged in several public and professional performances including with the Tyalgum Music Festival, Springboard Opera and as a soloist for The Queensland Choir. Most recently, Freddie appeared in Prospero Arts’ Pirates of Penzance at QPAC and performed in a concert recital in the Snow Concert Hall in Canberra.
